This will be a day long series of presentations and discussions for members
of the Arctic Grayling Working Group, other agencies, conservation,
environmental group leaders and international scientists to discuss Arctic
grayling recovery.

Session One: Assessment Panel Reports- Three Arctic grayling experts for Alaska
and Canada will reflect Arctic grayling research and recovery efforts in Montana
and report on their three day tour of the upper Big Hole River watershed (Dr.
David Hobbs, BHRF and Montana Tech Professor facilitating)

This day long event will provide an opportunity for public presentations that
will inform general public of the status and recovery efforts of the Arctic
grayling in the Upper Missouri basin. Various agencies working in the watershed
wil help explain the CCAA, CPI, special EQIP efforts that are working broadly to
in part restore Arctic grayling populations, are leading to riparian and fishery
health and in general to an improved ranching industry in the watershed.

11:00 am - Noon- "CCAA's and Safe Harbor Agreements: Tools to Help
Landowners Work with the Endangered Species Act. Tim Male, Wildlife Scientist,
Environmental Defense, Washington D.C. Tim provides scientific oversight of and
direction to Environmental Defense's work on endangered and threatened species.
Tim promotes creative approaches to conserving biological diversity on private
lands.
Luncheon: 12:30- 2:00 pm -Jackson Hot Springs Lodge
Luncheon Keynote- "Conservation Ranching and Endangered Species
Recovery".
Kirk Gazdia of Resource Management Services is an internationally recognized
grazing management educator and will share his experiences with collaborative
efforts of managing livestock and protecting endangered species.
